Alternatively approach your local vets directly, businesses usually like to recruit locally and are impressed by people who show initiative, so this will give you an edge if they happen to have a vacancy. Some vet businesses will not bother advertising a position if they can easily find someone they like without doing so. This is a great way to try to get your ‘foot in the door’ if you have no previous experience in the industry.
